临床实践中心

Formerly known as the Center for Professional Development Schools, the Center for 临床教育实习 has a mission of 积极影响P-12学生的学习. Teacher Candidates seeking licensure in Early Childhood, 童年中期, Adolescent-to-Young成人, and Intervention Specialist programs receive in-depth clinical preparation in our PDS Schools. 目前, 12 active partnerships are instrumental in completing the Center's mission and purpose while providing a space for Teacher Candidates to have a clinical experience. As one of the only centers in the area that serves children ages six weeks to five years, we serve as a model for best practices in Southeastern Ohio. We believe that all children and parents have the potential to be an integral part of our community.

科拉 is an organization of 110 school districts and other educational institutions in the 32-county region of Ohio designated as Appalachia. 邻近县的学区, institutions of higher education and related organizations may become members of the Coalition. 科拉 is under the governance structure of a Regional Council of Governments and is funded through membership dues and support from the newbb电子平台 Gladys W. 和David H. 巴顿教育学院.

乔治E号. 山中心 for Counseling and Research is a training facility for Masters and doctoral students in The Gladys W. 和David H. 巴顿教育学院's Counselor 教育 programs. The primary mission of the Center is to train Master's- and doctoral-level students in counselor education programs. A secondary purpose includes providing counseling and human development services to area residents. The third mission of the Center is to conduct counseling-related research.

教育民主研究所

The 教育民主研究所 (IDE) generates empirical evidence to inform K-12 educational policies and interventions supporting historically marginalized and underserved student populations, 他们的家庭, 以及他们的社区. 罗伯特·L. 莫顿教授 of Mathematics 教育 is an endowed chair established by Dr. 莫顿, an newbb电子平台 alumnus who returned after doctoral studies elsewhere to have a long and illustrious career at the university. The Advanced Quantitative Reasoning (AQR) project is creating an innovative post-Algebra II alternative to Pre-calculus for students who have completed Algebra I, 几何, 与代数II, 或综合高中数学I, II, 和第三. Advanced Teacher Capacity offers professional development in mathematics, 统计数据, and modeling for mathematics teachers in Grades 9-12 to prepare them for four years of high school mathematics for all students. 

OCEMS
